SVM autonomous college is one of the premier colleges of the State imparting quality education in the streams of Science, Humanities and Commerce at +2,+3 and Post Graduate level. I am a proud alumnus of this great institution of learning. Many like me have established themselves in various walks of life and contributed to the society in different ways. I would like to see the present generation of students to shine in life by sincerity, hard work and passion for excellence. One should remember that success has no shortcut. To excel in life one must aspire big and prepare vigorously. Even if one does not perform well in academics he or she can prove his or her mettle in extra-curricular activities and build a career as per own choice.

Swami Vivekananda Memorial College Autonomous is a glorious institution grows on the bed of the river Alaka at Jagatsinghpur in a calm, secluded & ideal site. Its campus charms, aesthetic and spiritual appeal really becomes suitable for the healthy growth of an institution of higher learning. The river Alaka encircling the college on the north and east, though virtually dead now occasionally flows and reminds us of the past maritime glory and the trading centre of the Dutch sailors during the Pre-British period. Jagatsinghpur, with its large galaxy of intellectuals spread out all over the state and outside is proud of having an institution of higher learning named after Swami Vivekananda.
